Surrounded by jaguars and bushmaster snakes in the Guyanese jungle with Lucy Shepherd

Lucy Shepherd is 29-year-old British explorer who has embarked on expeditions into some of the most formidable environments on Earth.

A fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and a council member of the Scientific Exploration Society, Lucy recently set off on her most ambitious expedition yet: crossing the entire Kanuku Mountains in Guyana, from east to west.

Lucy spoke to WHEN IT HITS THE FAN podcast about a particularly nerve-wracking experience deep in the Guayanan jungle.
