The island is the largest of the Grecian islands and has two airports \u2013 Chania and Heraklion – that offer excellent, well-priced connections across the continent.<\/p>\n

Top tip: Crete is famous for its olive oil and beaches<\/a> with Balos often compared to the best of the Med.<\/p>\n

Saranda, Albania<\/h4>\n

Facing the Ionian Sea and only 35 minutes by ferry from the island of Corfu lies the jewel of the Albanian Riviera, Saranda<\/a> (Sarand\u00eb). With mild weather all winter long, Saranda is a standout destination for value for money, culture, and its Mediterranean-influenced cuisine<\/a>. Although it has influences from its Greek, Italian and Balkan neighbours, Albania is uniquely unspoilt and rapidly becoming a standout destination in the region.<\/p>\n
