Here’s how frequent travelers slash their insurance costs

Frequent travelers are a diverse bunch. From seasoned adventurers seeking out remote destinations to employees pressing the flesh at conferences across the country, it’s often only their propensity to travel that connects them.

Business travelers, especially, may spend a large chunk of the year on the road, racking up those frequent flyer miles as they meet clients, forge relationships and close deals, both domestically and internationally.
But whether the purpose of their trip is business, leisure or a mixture of the two, there’s one thing that sits pretty high on the frequent traveler’s list of necessities: travel insurance.

Let’s be honest, though, these costs can add up. A weekend here, an overnight there – protecting yourself against illness, injury, lost baggage, flight cancellation or more when you’re constantly on the go can leave a serious dent in your (or your company’s) travel budget.
That’s why travelers who expect to take multiple trips in a single year usually opt for multi-trip annual coverage.

Multiple trips, one single purchase

battleface recently launched its Multi-Trip Annual product for exactly these types of customers, incorporating Trip Cancellation & Single Occupancy, Trip Interruption, Travel Medical expenses, Emergency Medical evacuation, Trip Delay/Missed Connection and Baggage Loss/Delay.

With prices starting at $92.27, the cost-effective product allows customers to cover multiple trips for one full year – up to 40 days per trip – providing each trip is at least 100 miles from home.

That means whether their trips consist of long distances behind the wheel, multiple long-weekend getaways, or a mixture of business and leisure trips, the customer can focus on the journey – and leave the travel insurance to us.

A global team working 24/7

All our policies are supported by a global team providing emergency travel and medical assistance services. We also recently brought our claims handling capabilities in house to ensure a customer’s journey from purchase to pay out is handled as smoothly as possible.

Partner distribution

The product is available direct to consumer but also via Partner distribution and a great fit for insurtechs, fintechs, OTAs, corporate travel managers and leisure travel partners such as travel agents.

PRE-EXISTING MEDICAL CONDITION

Pre-Existing Medical Condition means an illness, disease, or other condition during the 180 day period immediately prior to the date Your coverage is effective :
  1. received or received a recommendation for a test, examination, or medical treatment for a condition which first manifested itself, worsened or became acute, or had symptoms which would have prompted a reasonable person to seek diagnosis, care or treatment; or
  2. took or received a prescription for drugs or medicine. Item (2) of this definition does not apply to a condition which is treated or controlled solely through the taking of prescription drugs or medicine and remains treated or controlled without any adjustment or change in the required prescription throughout the 180 day period before coverage is effective under this policy.
  3. required a change in prescribed medication. Change in prescribed medication means the dosage or frequency of a medication has been reduced, increased, stopped and/or new medications have been prescribed due to the worsening of an underlying condition that is being treated with the medication, unless the change is:
    1. between a brand name and a generic medication with comparable dosage; or
    2. an adjustment to insulin or anti-coagulant dosage.
If you, or someone you are traveling with, has a Pre-Existing Medical Condition, you can still buy a policy from us but there is no cover for any claim arising directly or indirectly from that condition.
