According to a new study by travel insurance provider battleface, two thirds (65%) of Brits would be prepared to take a COVID-19 vaccine, that has passed all necessary tests, if it meant they could travel internationally.
The study of 2,000 UK adults between 24th and 26th November exploring future trends in travel insurance by Opinium Research also found:
- Three in ten (29%) Brits said they are likely to travel in early 2021
- This increases to two fifths (44%) who say they are likely to travel later in 2021, from July onwards
- The same proportion (44%) intend to buy travel insurance for a trip in 2021
- Of those travelling, three quarters (78%) plan to travel within Europe with top destinations being Spain, France, UK and Greece
- A fifth (22%) plan to travel outside of Europe with USA and Australia being the most popular choices
Additionally, a quarter (24%) of those surveyed would go ahead with a trip if the government announced an advisory against travelling to their destination after it had been booked.
